We have an exciting announcement to make! In July, Fleurs de Villes will be coming to The Calgary Stampede with a large botanical exhibition in the new BMO Centre on Stampede grounds!

Fleurs de Villes Stampede will be a floral celebration inspired by remarkable country artists and we will be joining them to create 3 mannequins covered in extravagant floral outfits that are 100% botanical! Each participating florist will be given at least one mannequin and a famous country artist to recreate a particular outfit that they have worn on stage. 

In addition to our wonderful team, one of our florist friends from Hillsborough North Carolina, Morgan Howell-Moylan, is coming in to help out. Morgan is a fellow Chapel Designer and has worked on several projects with Janie before in London, England; North Carolina, South Carolina, Calgary, Banff and Jasper. We'll be tag teaming the planning and design together for the Stampede event! Take a look at her company West Queen Studio to learn more!

We have some unique ideas for the mannequins in mind with artists such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, and would LOVE for you to see our creative visions of your favourite country artists! All of the mannequins will be judged based on several criteria including most creative, best in show, an of course a fan favourite! 

Fleurs De Villes (flowers of the cities) is a Vancouver-based organization that combines the beauty of flowers with talent, extravagant displays, and artistic designs across many events! They work with florists, designers, and growers across many cities while creating engagement with local communities.

This year, they are coming to the Calgary Stampede for this unique botanical exhibition that will be the full length of Stampede from July 5th - July 14th.

Their mission and passion "is to elevate the floral industry and celebrate the floral talent within it by creating extraordinary experiences, in extraordinary places, shared with an enthusiastic public". We're definitely on the same page when it comes to Fleurs De Villes's slogan "Flowers make us happy"!

They are also Luxury Floral Champions known as 'Floral Disruptors' by bringing a sense of theatre to all they do. They have produced more than 100 unique luxury floral events, bringing together over 900 floral artists in major destinations across Canada, the United States, England, Scotland, and Australia. As the only travelling floral show in the world that's in 5 countries, we are immensely grateful to be working with them.

The last time Fleurs de Villes came to Calgary was back in 2018. Our team had the amazing opportunity to work with them at Cross Iron Mills where we won Fan Favourite for our Flower Bomb mannequin design (pictured left). 

Recently in April, we got to work with them again during the spring kick-off event. They announced their partnership with Stampede and how they will be bringing in a unique experience with botanicals, with the official announcement just released on May 15th! 

We designed a special mannequin for the event which was enjoyed by Stampede VIPS, executives, and media. The yellow mannequin was not a specific person like it will be during the Stampede event, but represented Floral inspired mega country dress with 100% fresh flowers. We also incorporated a cowboy hat adorned with flowers AND a microphone made of roses and leaves!

Our team had so much fun designing this outfit and we can't wait to design more at the Stampede for you all to see!
