A GORGEOUS FALL WEDDING AT THE NORLAND HISTORIC ESTATE

Jessica and Adrian were married on a warm, sunny September day at the beautiful Norland Historic Estate, a Southern Colonial house turned wedding venue in Lethbridge, Alberta.

The assembly of the Estate was started in 1909 and was surrounded by a large farming operation on 2000 acres of treeless prairie landscape. This hidden gem is now surrounded by lush trees, foliages and gardens and has been transformed into an elegant event venue with incomparable beauty.

The Norland Historic Estate offered a fairytale-like backdrop to Jess and Adrian's wedding day. The photos below, taken by their Calgary wedding photographer, Corrina Walker, show the joy radiating from the couple and the beauty of their wedding day!

It was such a delight to be their wedding florist and bring their floral vision to life!

JEWEL TONED AUTUMN WEDDING

The bride, a talented graphic designer who designed all of the stationary for their wedding, had a clear and creative vision for the wedding florals. She wanted an autumnal jewel-toned Victorian garden meets Art Deco feel to the day and wanted the flowers to be a balance of a "wild flower explosion with a cohesive palette"!

We paired deep purple, raspberry and blue jewel toned blooms with the more vibrant fall colours of red, orange, bronze and yellow for a unique colour palette perfect for fall!

We loved bringing this to life with show-stopping flowers like dahlias, one of our favourite fall blooms, along with delphinium, anemones, ranunculus, eryngium thistle, hanging amaranthus, Cherry Caramel Phlox, Darcey Garden Roses, Toffee Roses and more!

A NOTE FROM THE COUPLE

We came to Janie and her team with a vision of creating a wedding that truly represented my husband and I—through bright, intricate colors and details that reflected our desire to live vibrantly. With rich jewel tones inspired by autumn and a modern Art Deco feel, Janie not only met but exceeded our expectations. As a graphic designer, I’ve collaborated with floral teams before, but I’ve never seen displays as stunning as what she created. She took our vision and elevated it tenfold, transforming the venue into something reminiscent of a British flower garden.

Not to mention, they were an absolute delight to work with—patient, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile, even helping with a mid-day floral overhaul during the wedding. A year later, I look back on our wedding day with complete peace of mind, and I attribute much of that to Janie for bringing the wedding of my dreams to life. When someone possesses the talent that she and her team have, it's amazing to witness just a glimpse of their full capabilities. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours! -Jessica + Adrian
